FAQ
What’s the HART level transmitter?
The HART function can transmit submersible water tank level sensor data through an AC digital signal. The AC digital signal uses a 4-20mA analog output signal as a carrier, so no need additional wires and connectors. Relying on an open communications protocol, HART communicators interface with HART-enabled “master” and “field” devices making it much easier to configure and calibrate instruments as well as diagnose issues before they become serious.
What difference bettwen the transmitter analog and digital communication ?
Analog have a 1-5 volt DC or 4-20 mA signal that corresponds to the variation in the pressure. With digital communication you have a protocol and thats a language that the controller and transmitter speak with each other to get the information. Some popular versions are HART, FieldBus, MODBUS, but make sure all of your equipment speaks the same language. because HART combines analog and digital communication, it’s also called a hybrid protocol
What difference bettwen HART and MODBUS?
Modbus is a serial communications protocol use with its programmable logic controllers (PLCs). In addition to pressure signal, the HART submersible pressure sensor digital signal often contains additional process measurements and other variables that may include instrument status, diagnostic data, alarms, calibration values and alert messages.
