What is level transmitter?

Level transmitters provide continuous measurement over the range of the sensor, and produce an output signal that directly correlates to the level of the liquid. therefor, it is generally used to determine the level of liquid at any given time. Obviously, level transmitters are different to level switches, which only work when the level of fluid goes above or below the predetermined level.

How does a submersible level transmitter work?

Submersible level transmitters consist of a sensor attached to a long cable, which is then lowered to the bottom of the liquid container. the sensor works by measuring the hydrostatic pressure of the liquid medium. Hydrostatic pressure, also known as head pressure, is the pressure exerted by the fluid in the container.
