What is a pressure sensor?
A pressure sensor is a measuring device that converts a physical quantity (pressure) into an electrical signal according to the selected measuring method. When selecting a pressure sensor, the size of the sensor, installation conditions, application-specific standards, technical requirements, and properties of the medium must be considered.
What is the housing material?
Many of our transducers come with a 304 stainless steel or 316 stainless steel housing. Others, like the DR3441 Series hammer union pressure transducer, will have 17-4PH stainless steel. These materials protect the transmitter more in harsh environments or aggressive media.
Are transducers susceptible to temperature?
Yes. Like all instrumentations, DR3401 pressure transducer have an optimal operating temperature range from -30 ℃ to 70 ℃. Using transmitters outside their normal operating temperatures may affect accuracy or stability. but advanced temperature compensation technology can extend the range of operable temperature.
